Comics Frank Miller is absolutely stunning affair and Zack Snyder managed to film transfer his poetics, his cruelty and heroic, just everything that comics have. There are scenes that are all that are almost useless, but the fact remains that the 300 brave fight is still a strong show, moreover visually astral interesting.
