Land-rattling defense appropriation | Anders Eriksson
This morning commits the Alliance party leader debate article on the defense appropriation. gardening The headline in the Daily News announces that they now want to raise the allocation to five billion annually. It was good, I thought, before I read the article.
So it is not just that the increases are far in the future, there is also a lack an idea on how they will be funded. And given that the article also says that efforts "must be financed dollar for dollar," so it might as well be that there will be null and void by this. And speaking of funding ...
How was it, an increase in the appropriation to be funded by a reallocation of the grant? To me it seems a little giddy. How much of the total increase is an actual increase gardening in funding and how much is a, certainly welcome, reprogramming in the envelope? It is not.
For me, is played out as pure electoral politics. The government knows that defense policy is one of their weak cards right now and why are they shooting emit this. My interpretation is that they are more or less starting to give up the election in the fall, and therefore want to send black Petter to the Social Democrats, who will be the ones that have to deal with the issue in the fall bill. And with this article, they will then be able to portray themselves as they wanted to go, even this is doubtful.
