From our neighbor, we get 6 zebra finches and would like to equip the new cage with forsythia, because we have so much of it in the Garden. Maybe someone rider has any advice for me. Please respond quickly because the "little" sit with the neighbor in too small a cage. LG Gundi
Info: Hello, Rose! Thanks for the link. I had already found another page in which was slightly toxic. I just did not know whether toxic to zebra finches, because onions and garlic are eg toxic for budgies. rider I had also found a poison control center for animals, but there was nothing about forsythia therein. We will leave it with the forsythia and prefer to risk anything. lg Gundi

What is at stake here: Proper plant care, cut and finish ... Proper care of plants includes fertilizing (which fertilizer and how often fertilize), cutting (cut as and when is cut), Water (how much water and how often pour), location of the plant (how much light or shade), soil (which soil or substrates), winter (like winter and the temperatures at which, hardy or not), raising to refine (which technique, graft, Anplatten or graft).
I work, and probably still years off to make the garden, I have taken about according to my ideas. There's are forsythia that bloom only halfway and just look horrible. Picture will be submitted when it is not raining anymore and then blossoms turn. Can I cut it. The easy look impossible. What has been cut (sawn) as are only stumps there. Or is very off best?
Info: Hi Susi, I am working for 20 years in my garden, so slow it gets. Forsythia are no customer grateful for cutting measures. They have an unfavorable branch system in that respect, also these overhanging growth. Either you have space and lets them hang over, then regular old after flowering, well-branched branches as far as possible away (then there is no stumps), or to make a topiary (sphere, pyramid), to be used several times in the lace trimmed. Forsythia bloom only good when they are sunny. Greetings Stefan
I must disagree Hesperis, normally completed in the forsythia you cut every year or at least every 2 years. nerium After flowering, you have to remove old branches and Shorten the other half or 2/3. So the shrubs do not grow old and bloom every year beautiful. I think that wrong cut exactly was the problem with you. A topiary at a just does not forsythia in my view, what her because he did not promote flowering, what is the most beautiful on the forsythia. If she has sharply cut even a nice spherical growth.
Shorten by half ie mess up, just net for me the habitus. close to the ground caps is because definitely the better option. & Under cut shape with forsythia I understand this creepy janitor cut, & I find the times really bad. the forsythia has by nature this beautiful arched overhang habitus (as well as other shrubs), & before I rumschnibbel because nerium of space reasons tuned, dear completely gone (the ast, or not even the shrub). if it is already completely messed nerium up in your forsythie the habitus, nerium can you they sometimes put on stock. since the forsythia has a basitone growth habit, it encourages you to drive to new growth. so you can build the shrub yet or even if you maybe the first 2 years have to thin out a bit more, because it pushes too many high gear. if they already have young gear, then simply take out the old blended at the base, and let the young grow.

I can only second nerium Click, & still seems to be a baby yes. which falls just a bit apart, maybe you can temporarily bind him impale &, possibly the gearbox so the overhang to the first branching that grows straight up, hats, because he otherwise often very falling apart (after bloom). otherwise nerium I'd still nothing as cut. However, he is still very close to the off (which is a way?). because it annoys sooner or later. 1.5 m radius needs of even if it is to be humanely old. on your first picture I can not see much except that it is predominantly green. nerium lie can the wrong cutting time. because it blooms on last year's wood, this would have sounded with the bloom handled nerium when it was cut back after flowering plant.

Hello, we have cut our 5 years ago for the last time: radical! There really were only stubble of about 15 cm in height. Now it will probably be this year again so far, because the branches reach even to the entrance door. After flowering, it goes to work. Is actually a shame, as to mutilate an abundance of color work / but what must be, must be flat, the neighboring shrubs will be quite reduced, so that the picture is not quite so crass. Has your neighbor no garden? Any reasonably provided with grnem thumb Normalbrger notes actually ar

Hello experts, I have time today to get a bout of Rckschnittwut and then immediately decided yet to do more than actually wanted .... unit specifically: I have 2 Forsythienbsche, one who is always too large despite stndigem Rckschnitt on Zaunhhe and one which in the size as I have it now so quite well filled. Now I have the "giants" radically cut down to about 60cm. So there are only bare thick ste. Then I had the idea to zurckgeschnittenen grill simply dig and the stuffed me in the Gre replant there ...... If one is informed beforehand also not entirely wrong ... The boy sits firmly so, that I will have to nibble still there. I hope the drive the roots are not too in depth. Should the now dig at the time .... You know, I find myself with it. But if the second intended to this spot, also should make such difficulty dig, sigh, no telling when the then should not survive. My real question is: after I read about it on the Internet, stands as one needs to implement grill the bush before cutting back to results krftig Does anyone have experience with it made a Forsythienbusch in a Gre of ca.2m and diameter of about 1.30m (I do not measure it go now) implement without cutting back to results him? I mu unfortunately work with spade and pickaxe, because mini excavator has not been converted and wre also problematic to come into the garden. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow times to take pictures of the situation. on answers says Frank and says it again, thanks
Nchstes year you will have no blossoms anyway because you cut right after flowering otherwise falls back to results in the coming year. If the second so I still will bloom the wrd do after flowering with the zurckschneiden and then transplant them also with that or you have to live with it. Whether or not so big bushes transplant yet notwithstanding I do not know because the roots really deep and you'll einkrzen the root strong need to to get him out of there. Even if all always say the same autumn planting time for shrubs .... because I've always remembered from October because of possibly coming strong Frste. grill Have something always done until mid-September or rather grill then in spring.
We have our forsythia, which was similar big as yours, transplanted 3 years ago without zurckzuschneiden ... because we had no idea and have not researched. And lo and behold, she is wonderful and has also grown geblht to next year. Sometimes "simple" (my husband is not dignity than simply refer to) do the best. Buddelnde grill Gre chocolate
Now, since no one has replied, I can tell you, that I have managed today to get the first out and then (feat pure) the second dig and implement. Well me drckt fingers crossed that he will berstehen that too! Should he make it, then there in the spring pictures.
Hi Frank, forsythia are almost like weeds - not so rampant, but so stubbornly in the struggle for survival. Good luck and love Gre by Elke Vogel (the day before grill yesterday replanted a kmmerndes Fors.stmmchen and has found no "Daumendrck smiley face)
Thank you and gewssert is every 2nd Day 2 cans full. But still ne question afterwards: how long should I wssern-in the next few weeks or as many weeks? 'm grill from nchster week on vacation, but can instruct my neighbors every day or every 2 days to give a pot of water. Please answer me before Saturday to! LG Frank
Has your neighbor no garden? Any reasonably provided with grnem thumb Normalbrger notes actually are when gewssert mu.
Now Tina, this is a special case, because I have not eingekrzt the bush although you should ...... because the roots are unfortunately eingekrzt dig at. Without this to krzen it wre not have been possible to implement it. I hope I make it through, therefore mu gewssert probably more often. grill If my neighbor noted with grnem thumb of the bush needs water, because maybe UERE signs are there, then it's safe too late already. Is Gewssert in this case certainly precaution beforehand and sufficient.
Is Gewssert in this case certainly precaution beforehand and sufficient. I think that should be enough if you're only a week away. Now is indeed no longer grill hot and dry and the soil moist generally beautiful. Should it again be expected again go over 20, the neighbor grill center knnte yes week that pour.
Hi Frank, You mut but expect since it despite plenty of water and good Einschlmmen the leaves hang lt, if necessary so very well lose, because even fall! The but then again grown Sect in the spring and until then he is. Mo, the wohll also implement their still
