From Stary Smokovec, where we could look back on one of the oldest hotels in Slovakia Grand hotel, outside we moved funicular to Hrebienok. From there we went on foot to the Rocky Mountain Lake. On the way to the Rocky Mountain Lake, we saw some interesting natural phenomena, mountains and chalets. As first we have seen the smaller detour Rainerova chat. It is the oldest hut in the Tatra Mountains. When we went in the way, from the distance we could hear the beautiful waterfalls Cold Creek. At that time we were located at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level. After about half an hour we got to the middle of our journey. We arrived at Zamkovského chat. There we had a short break where we could recharge their batteries, food and drink are. The road continued. Our next goal was to Rocky Mountain Lake. There our journey took us about an hour and a half. On the lake we all arrived successfully. At an altitude of 1,751 meters above sea level is already freezing. It was seen at the ball, which was located on a tiny layer of ice. Of Rocky lake we moved cableway in the Tatra Lomnica, where we noticed a luxury Grandhotel Praha. There we waited for the next joint TER, which take us on a flag Štrbské. As soon as we spoke, we agreed when we meet, so we do not miss the cog locomotive. On Štrbske ball we made a walk around the lake, we saw as a Grand Hotel Kempinski Hotel Patria and we had a break. After the break, we all met again. outside Strba drove us to the cog railway. outside In Strba we boarded the express train that went from Kosice to Bratislava. Do Zilina we arrived about 19:21. Thanks to the beautiful weather we had during the ascent opportunity to do a lot of beautiful photos outside of our most beautiful mountains in Slovakia.

Despite missed Sunday

The youngest participant was 13 years old Danko weld (when counting the three-year-old Alsatian, who accompanied his father) and the oldest participant was ageless Stephen Maar, who was in the Low Tatras preparing for a summer trip to the Alps. The first day we took the route Donovaly - Hiadeľské saddle - United Chochuľa - Latiborskou hola - Zamostska hola - Ďurková - cozy under Chabencom. From the beginning, we proceeded in small groups and we all met up at cozy. Route 28 km long with an elevation of around 1,700 meters cedro fastest mastered in 6 hours, others it took 8-9 hours. Despite little optimistic forecasts, the weather was perfect. It was no wind, nice temperature, cloudy and occasionally accompanied us and rays of spring cedro sunshine. Even at night it started raining and Sunday we woke up to a cloudy day. By 8 hours we all left the cozy and we spoke again in small groups to Chabenec and thence along the ridge through Košariská, middle and Dereše on stone hut under Chopkom. Weather forecasts have corresponded - gray clouds, fog, no vision, and later rain accompanied us all morning. On the ridge we saw neither tourists cedro nor chamois, only Krizske saddle we rested along with Pařík pigeons. Mild winter with a lack of snow allowed us to walk around the beautiful stone pavement below Dereše, which in recent years has been always covered with snow. After relaxing on the stone cottage, the majority of participants decided to return home to Jasna descent. Several most determined to continue in light rain through Štefánik chat to the Čertovica.
Despite missed Sunday's weather we all love reminiscing about two days to fully lived in our beautiful mountains. We are looking forward to another year of transition, which will take place in early May next year.
